If you're an elected Republican in Illinois and you're not challenging the corrupt old guard in your own party or your own state, then you're not doing your job. The press has been loaded with information in recent weeks about how Alaska Governor Sarah Palin did just that and is setting the standard:

We display the technology time and time again, but what is the real reason we can't incorporate this into our vehicles? Is it oil companies buying rights to the tech and suppressing it? The video below shows that we definitely have the technology and the capability. Maybe now that fuel prices are hurting auto sales so much, the auto industry will dive into this technology and do it out of necessity rather than the forethought they should have used.
