Watch or read the mainstream news and you’ll be just as informed as they want you to be, no more and no less. You might even vote for people who threaten the very foundation of America by being fooled into thinking they are something they have never in their lives stood for. In fact, you might believe these people have your best interests at heart even while they are robbing you blind and destroying the very freedoms that allowed you to place these people in office. The real question is how much do you have to lose before you finally comprehend how little you have left? Let me try to put things into perspective for you.

We have a Vice President that requires a White House Spokesperson to explain what the VP really meant when he speaks, because it’s not what he was supposed to say, even though it’s what he really believes. We have a President that speaks what he reads with passion yet has no ability to speak with passion on anything if his teleprompter breaks. We have a Senate and Congress that no longer hears the taxpaying, working class but whose undivided attention is given to every pandering, special interest, radical, left-wing, fear-mongering, hate-baiting, Christian hating psycho-path the media gives a voice to. The so-called leaders of our Senate and Congress demand I live and give to the extent they deem appropriate while taking everything they feel they are entitled to.

I have never banked with a “Bank” yet I am forced to bail out failed company after failed company. I pay all my bills and have always lived within my means yet I am told I need to sacrifice to help those who have lived way beyond their means so they don’t have to sacrifice their irresponsible, extravagant lifestyle. I am a Christian and proud of it! I attend Church and tithe as well as supporting various charities and I feel genuinely sorry for people who have been fooled into believing they could afford to live beyond their means. I wonder how often they go to Church and how much support they have given to charities… I guess they can’t afford it now but yet, I am still expected to carry them. You tell me to be tolerant of other religions, sexual preferences, deviant behaviors, and other ACLU soap box issues, yet you condemn me and label me a right-wing, conservative, “threat”…

I was not born with a Silver Spoon in my mouth, more like a plastic spoon. The youngest of five children raised by a single mom, our mother was strict and instilled the meaning of respect and responsibility in me and my siblings. We had no luxuries growing up yet we all lifted ourselves and became contributing, responsible members of society. We did not make excuses for ourselves nor did we seek the pity or handouts of others. For our hard work and pride, we are rewarded with the mandate to help carry those who have never lifted a finger to contribute and those who are now suffering because of the ripple effect those people have had on our society. And to ensure our children are not born with a Silver Spoon because of our hard work, our politicians have financed everything on the backs of our children, our grandchildren, and their children and grandchildren.

Our political system is one of two parties that are no longer distinguishable. Many of our politicians were born with a Silver Spoon and have never worked a day in their life. Their entire existence is driven by their own self-preservation, at the expense of the working class and businesses that are the lifeblood of America. Through entitlements, fraud, and corruption, they have succeeded in breaking the back of America while shaming the working class and successful businessmen for their initiative and desire to succeed. They believe they are entitled to dictate bonuses and salaries of businesses as they bleed society to the point of bankruptcy. They created the very problem they are pretending to fix and they want us to be grateful for their efforts.

No one asked what I wanted but I’ll share anyway. I get up at 5:00 AM every day to go to work. My wife is not far behind me as she rushes to get our children to school and herself to work. I want to be able to spend the money WE earn on my family. I want to be able to help those I deem worthy and deserving without being told who my money will be given to. I want my children to benefit from my years of hard work and perseverance. I want the peace of mind of knowing my kids will be able to take care of themselves and their kids with the fruits of their parents’ labor. I want to know my family is safe because the taxes I pay are being used to ensure the safety of my country. I want to know those down on their luck are being fed and are being helped back into the workforce. People who work spend money that creates more jobs. More jobs mean more people paying a minimal amount of taxes necessary to support our country. It’s a no-brainer.

What I don’t want is for Congress to hold hearings on whether a sports figure used steroids. I don’t care, let his or her employer deal with it. I also don’t want my tax dollars wasted on hearings to decide whether a College Bowl Series can or should be called a National series. We spend mere hours deciding to spend trillions of dollars yet we will waste weeks on such a critical issue as what to call a College Bowl Series. Get your priorities straight. Quit your bickering and whining, you were elected to do a job and these are your co-workers. If you don’t like it and can’t work together, quit! We’ll find someone much better! Besides, you have put a lot of people out of work so we have many qualified candidates to choose from. What I also don’t want is for my money to go to the salaries of people who saw fit to not pay their taxes while earning a living off of my taxes, you simply are not worthy.

If you learn nothing else from this brush with reality, understand this. The damage you do to this Great Nation will ripple through the entire World with dire consequences. America has protected the World against many tyrants and Americans’ successes have driven a World economy countless millions of people have benefitted from. America IS a Christian nation and we have nothing to be ashamed of. You are allowed to practice your religion because you are in America but you are welcome to leave if you don’t like it here. I will respect your decision and your religion, as long as you respect mine and do not force your beliefs on me.

And finally, Government is not the answer unless the question was “what caused this mess in the first place?”. Who in their right mind could believe that by taking the money from those working and giving it to those not working could possibly drive people to want to succeed? If that is the case, then those of us who have been working and paying our bills all along are due for a break. I suggest we all stay home and let those that have not yet contributed to society go to work and generate some wealth with which to carry us for a while. Of course that would require ACORN, the Global-Warming nuts, and various other radical, left-wing, socialist oriented groups to bus them home from whatever protest they are currently at. Only in America…
